This is really cool. The Elephants at the Houston zoo lend a helping hand in the clean up after Hurricane Ike. The Elephants a the zoo waited out the storm with select zoo keepers that the Elephants had a bond with. When the clean up started, the Elephants would use there trunks to move the big branches to a pile of debris. It was really good exercise for the Elephant. You can see the Elephant, Tucker, lending a trunk.

I agree, I think it was awesome how not only did the zoo keepers stay dedicated in watching over the animals all night and keeping them safe for that 30 hours, but that the elephants assisted them with cleaning up the debris from the fallen trees and destruction etc...
