Obama Sign Vandalixed with racial Intent

On Monday October 27 a large Barack Obama sign was with a racial vandalism. The sign was located on near County Road 222 and U.S. Highway 160. The sign was installed by Jeff Widen, a La Plata County Democratic Party volunteer, in Jill and Mike Somrak yard. Jeff said “A car drove by and someone yelled out the window 'No (racial epithet)!'" Jeff stopped and asked him self “did I hear what I think I just heard, in Durango, in 2008?’ And yes” Later on that night the sigh was vandalized with black spray paint black out the lettering spelling Obama’s name and a swastika was drawn on the sign. Mrs. Somrak hopes that the Democratic Party would replace the sign. "I can't help but feel there's going to be something good coming out of this negative thing. There are a lot of human beings who are intelligent and do respect each other's opinions, even if don't agree," she said.

32 salmonella illnesses reported in 12 states

In the United States there has been 32 salmonella illnesses reported in 12 states. All of the reports have been caused from uncooked chicken manly in frozen dishes for microwave ovens. Most of the chicken in these dishes is uncooked raw chick that is pre-browned, so it gives that appearance of pre-cooked chicken like “chicken cordon blue” or “chicken kiev”. USDA said that all of the cases in which people become ill were because they did not fallow the proper cooking instructions on the back of the frozen dinners. They cooked the dishes in a microwave oven when the dish did not provide cooking direction for a microwave. Microwaving the chicken dinner did not cook the chicken to a proper temperature to kill the salmonella. To kill salmonella you need to cook chicken to at least an internal of 165 degree Fahrenheit.
